THE MISSION OF RALLY FOR THE CURE^®

Rally for the Cure^®, in partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Golf For Women magazine, is a grassroots golf program dedicated to spreading awareness in the fight to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. Rally brings the breast cancer awareness message to women golfers, and its events provide the platform for special fundraising opportunities for Komen for the Cure.

Concurrent with spreading awareness, each issue of Golf For Women magazine provides coverage and reinforcement of early detection issues that are so important to helping women realize that until there is a cure, it is our best defense.

Jane Figiel Ford, 44, of Orland Park, Illinois, conducted a Rally for the Cure® event on May 21, 2005. The next day, she discovered a lump in her breast. "It is because of the Rally that I was reminded to do a self-exam and discovered my cancer," she says. "It is because of the Rally that I will survive."
